Share Draft (Checking)

A share draft (checking) account at Lowland Credit Union provides you with a great way to handle your day-to-day finances. With our great checking accounts you can enjoy:

No monthly service fee
No minimum balance requirements, no minimum check fee and no service fee.
Overdraft protection from one or more share accounts and your revolving line of credit
Automatic drafts for insurance payments or other recurring bills can be paid from your share draft account. These are treated in the same manner as a regular share draft written by you.
Direct deposit - This feature allows you to have your payroll deposited to your share draft account saving you the long wait in a teller line. Social security and other government agency generated funds can also be direct deposited.
Carbonless copies - You never forget to register the draft amount in a register with the carbonless copy beneath each draft and no cancelled checks to have to keep up with. In the infrequent times you might need a copy of a draft, we are happy to provide one for you at a modest fee.
Monthly statements will document all your share draft activity with a list of the drafts cleared, the amount, date and your daily balance.
Certified drafts - A draft can be certified, at no charge to you, as to availability of funds for the amount written.
ATM/debit card service is available with your share draft account.  Your Debit Card can also be tied to your checking account.

It is very important that you balance your share draft account each month just as soon as you receive your statement. Then, if you do have a problem, you will catch it before it becomes a bigger problem for you.

If you detect a forgery on your account, notify the credit union immediately. We can assist you in putting a stop to it.
