Vehicle history reports are available through CARFAX a national organization that has developed an extensive data base using state associations and organizations, titling agencies and insurance company damage reports to provide a history of vehicles from the certificate of origin to current date. This information can be used to reveal discrepancies in mileage or to reveal incidents of vehicle damage. A small charge is made for these reports but is reimbursed if the vehicle is financed with the credit union.
